As the weather grew cold on the plantations slaves were often not sufficiently protected. In Frederick Douglas' account of his life as a slave, he describes the experience of trying to survive harsh winters without a bed to sleep in or proper food to eat. As to my own treatment while I lived on Colonel Lloyd's plantation, it was very similar to that of the other slave children. I was not old enough to work in the field, and there being little else than field work to do, I had a great deal of leisure time.

Deviation Actions. By TobyMcDee Watch. Pleasing the Bully I'm 18 years old and I attend the final year at my school, it's going to be nice graduating.. Not only because I've grown tired of the school but also because I'm being bullied by this girl, called Jamie. She's not like other girls, she's violent and rough around the edges. She often hits me when we meet, call me names and steal my stuff. I would not miss the humiliation, as I wasn't strong enough to fight back in any way.
