The malacho Elops smithi is a species in the Elops , the only genus in the family Elopidae , making this a monotypic family. Elops smithi like other species in its genus, has a long, slender, round body covered with silvery scales. The mouth is terminal and the tail is deeply forked. Identification of all seven Elops species requires counting the number of gillrakers and vertebrae.
The tessellated blenny Hypsoblennius invemar is a species of combtooth blenny found in the western Atlantic ocean. The tessellated blenny can reach a maximum length of 5. The head and front half of the body are bright blue covered with small brick red spots each rimmed in black.
